    Hello TTs,

The first race weekend is upon us with the Sovereign Open and Calforex Cup #1! But first some exciting items this week:

    Wax Clinics FOR PARENTS:
Come and learn how to prepare skis with kick and glide wax. This is important knowledge to learn about waxing and make skiing more enjoyable when equipment is prepared well.
Monday, November 25- 5:00-6:30 Kick Wax Clinic. Bring a classic ski to practice on.

Wednesday, November 27- 5:00-6:30 Glide Wax Clinic. Bring skate or classic skis to practice on.

    Hot Boxing
We have partnered with Grinder Ski Services again this year for hot boxing and ski grinding.

Hot boxing uses gentle radiant heat to warm skis for maximum base saturation. A single treatment is comparable to about 20 ironings! Consider hot boxing if you have new skis, don’t glide wax them often in early season because you don’t have time or don’t like doing it!. Note that you should glide wax your skis about once every 2 weeks (depends how abrasive the snow is).

Hot Box days will be: Wednesday (27th), Thursday (28th), and Friday (29).
Bring your skis to the team room on those days by 6pm. Look for the rack in the front room.
The skis will come back to the team room in 24-48 hours.
Make sure your skis are scraped and clean. No need to apply hot box wax like other years
Make sure you name is on the skis.
Tape a cheque made to Grinders Ski Service (not cash) to the ski for the amount (use painters tape).

    Training this week:
    Monday(25) 5:00-6:30 @ CNC
Skate skiing- downhill skills, agility, and some strength.

    Tuesday(26) *BIATHLON* 5:00-6:45 @ CNC
Race prep Time-Trial. Please arrive at 4:45 to grab your rifle, check the white board for your Zero time & Immediately make your way to the range to set up & begin zero. **I will meet everyone on the range** Keep your eyes on your email for a Time Trial update with all info!

    Wednesday(27) 5:00-6:30 @ CNC
Classic Skiing. It is forecasted to really cool off mid week, check back for a wax recommendation, or apply the great knowledge you learned on Monday to prepare those skis.

No team training Saturday or on Monday(2nd) as we are racing and need to be sure and have a recovery day after.

It’s not always possible, but it is always possible to improve your own performance. -Jackie Stewart
