    Hello Team –

    Official XC start of the racing season this week with the NORAM/Alberta Cups

    SIGN UP FOR AB CUP:
    – Remember to get a CCC license before you register in order to collect CPL points

    – Deadline to register for this weekend’s AB Cups is Wednesday, Nov 28th at midnight. No late registrations will be accepted. Link here: https://zone4.ca/register.asp?id=3678

    – Official start list will be posted on http://www.zone4.ca the evening before each race. Also check the forum the evening before each race (around 8:30pm) to find out last minute information (when to arrive, when and where to drop off skis, etc…). We will make a glide wax recommendation on Thursday.

    As I circulated already, we will have a different format for this week.

    Tuesday (27): 1630-1830. Classic Intensity on race course[/b].
    Check the weather, for waxing. Use the kick wax chart included on this forum. Bring a headlamp again. I will continue to bug you with this until everyone brings one with good batteries… Only you can stop me from bugging you :mrgreen:

    Wednesday (28): No team training, check TP. Last day to register for AB CUP

    Thursday (29): Team workout moved to Friday. Check TP.

    Friday (30): Race Prep: 1330-1500 Skating

    I have attached the condensed race plan form. I would like all of you to fill one in. Bring it partly completed to Friday’s workout.

    Check forum and zone4 on Friday evening for more details. Generally, we would like to have you on site 1.25hrs before a skate race and 1.5hrs before a classic race.

    NOTE: We will need your race skis early on Saturday morning (~7:00-7:30am). More details later.

    Saturday Race Day: Mass start skate – morning.
    Juvenile b/g: 4km (2 X 2km trail)
    Junior b/g: 5km (2 X 2.5km trail)

    Sunday Race Day: Individual Start classic – afternoon
    Junior B: 6.6km (2 X 3.3km trail)
    Junior G: 5km (2 X 2.5km trail)
    Juvenile b/g: 4km (2 X 2km trail)

    You are all ready for this with all the preparation you did. Bring on the races… Look forward to them… Stay calm….
