Many of you expressed wanting to continue improving your strength at our team meeting last Monday so we will spend the first 20 minutes working on strength and 60 minutes skating (10 mins change of gear time). With more terrain opening up we will mix it up with some agility work on skis. Tonight we will be joined by guest coaches AWCA athletes Delphine, Alex and Luke, lucky us!! 8) Don’t forget your head lamp AND drink belt.Nutrition Workshop
The Club has arranged for Sports Nutritionist Kelly Anne Erdman to do a workshop for parents of athletes (http://www.healthandperformancenutritioninc.com). The workshop will take place in the at the Bill Warren Training Centre, Thursday, December 1, 7:30 – 9:00pm. The cost is $10, please bring exact change.Saturday 3rd @ Lake Louise: 10am – 12noon
It’s time to get some ski km’s in away from the Nordic Centre. We will head out on Moraine Lake Road for some classic ski technique in particular weight shift in striding. Meet at the gate at the parking lot at 10am with ski kick waxed and ready to ski. Wax recommendation: please put on a base binder and cover with a minimum of Swix Blue Extra, remember that each 1 layer = 2 x chalk & cork; work your way in from .1 to .1 . Please make sure you have a drink belt and some snacks and also pack a change of socks and underlayers to change into before driving back to Canmore.Caring about the happiness of others, we find our own.
