As the temperatures start to sink over night and those little snow flakes start to appear on the weather reports make sure check the conditions before leaving for practice. The Club has a policy that you must wear a toque if it is -5 or below, or snowing. Now that it’s getting darker earlier we will be starting in the light and finishing in the dark so please ensure you have a head lamp in your drink belt in case we need them 😛

    Monday 2nd: 5 – 6:30pm @ Frozen Thunder
Building on from Wednesday nights session we will use Frozen Thunder to work on our skating techniques with particular focus on offset.

    Wednesday 4th: 5 – 6:30pm @ Quarry
Starting with a strength challenge then working on some ski striding and hill bounding. Meet at Quarry Lake parking lot at 5pm. You’ll need striding poles, a drink belt and a head lamp ❗ ❗

    Saturday 7th: 9:00 – 11am
Let’s go for a ski at Lake Louise   Conditions are shaping up quite nicely in LL for skiing so let’s take advantage of this early snow and cold temps! Classic skiing will be the way to go so please ensure you have ‘freshened up’ your kick zones with a little sand paper. Pack your cork, Swix Blue Extra and Rode Multigrade stick waxes and we’ll congregate in the Moraine Lake parking lot to wax together at 9am. (Yes, 9am is early but there will be a lot of people out skiing this weekend so we should get started early. 😛 )

Just a friendly reminder to let me know if you will not be attending a workout.

The same boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg. It’s about what you’re made of, not the circumstances.
