    Hello Team,

Well done putting it out there on Saturday with the first on snow time trial of the year.  We have had a solid focus on Frozen Thunder for the past 2 weeks, so this week we will pull things back a little before going into another build phase to kick off the season in Sovereign.

Speaking of Sovereign, the trip doc should be hitting your inbox this week with registration details and instructions.

Nordiq Canada time trials are Nov 13/14, but not much info has been shared, so stay tuned for details.

Now that day light savings has ended, it will be DARK for the majority of our training.  Headlamps are mandatory for all after school sessions.  If jackrabbits can do it, I trust you can too.  If you do not have your headlamp, you will not be allowed to ski with the team away from the lights and will have to leave practice to train on your own under the limited lights.  This is a safety concern for you, your teammates, and other individuals out skiing.

    Training this week:

    Monday(4)
    Multi/Primo/TTS
4:45-6:15 Start skiing/ activation work OYO and meet at 5pm at the start of Frozen Thunder. Low Z5 intensity tonight with a focus on speed and power in 2 skate rather than hard effort.

    Tuesday(5)
    Primo/TTS
4:45-6:45 Gym and On Foot Agility.  U18 outside first, U16 in the gym first.

    Wednesday(6)
    Multi/Primo/TTS
4:45-6:45 Skate Skiing and Run. Start skiing/ activation work OYO and meet at 5pm at the start of Frozen Thunder.  Dialing in Offset and no pole work tonight.  Wrapping up with a 1hr run around CNC.

    Thursday(7)
    TTS
    5:00-6:00 Strength with Chelsea

    Saturday(9)
    Multi/Primo/TTS
9:00-12:00 Team hike up Lady Mac.  Meet at the Lady Mac trailhead by the round about in Cougar Creek with usual hiking gear.  Trail reports are quite good, but if you have yack tracks you can slip them in your bag.  2L, 3 bars, and proper clothing for the weather.   You all know the drill.

    Monday(11)
Looking ahead- 9:00-12:00 morning training due to no school today!

“Sports allow us to see people at their highest highs and lowest lows. Celebration, crying, failure, anxiety. It’s real and raw. That’s why bonds between teammates last. Athletics makes us vulnerable. In real live, we seldom are.” -Steve Magness (high performance coach and author)
