Hello LCs,
Winter is in the air and the snow has started to stick. This combined with no school Wednesday-Sunday, there is a great opportunity for some good training this week.
A little housekeeping:
Put your headlamp in your drink belt and bring it to every evening training session.
If you have new skis this year, or have grown since last year, please bring in your classic race skis to be flex tested. Put a piece of tape on each CLEAN (scraped, brushed, kickwax free, and old lines removed) pair with your name and weight as this is essential for testing.
Fill out your ski label form and bring to your coach. If you have questions, please ask.
Training this week:
Tuesday(10): 4:30-6:15 Skate ski with speed work on Frozen Thunder. Meet at the teamroom.
Wednesday(11): 10:00-12:30 Classic Distance in Lake Louise. Meet at Moraine Lake Road. Remember your lunch for after training and dry clothes so you are not hungry and cold for the hour drive back home. Clean all the klister off your skis and wax with Swix Blue Extra. It will be mid winter conditions in Lake Louise.
Thursday(12): 10:30-11:45 Skate ski on Frozen Thunder. Meet at the teamroom.
LC2+ WinSport 4:30-5:30 Strength in the gym
LC1 5:30-6:30 Strength in the gym
Saturday(13): 10:30-12:00 Classic Intensity(LC1)/ Skate Time Trial(LC2) on Frozen Thunder. Meet at the teamroom.
