Amazing running at Confederations Park Relays! It was just great to see almost all the T2Ts and their parents out there giving it a go. It was short and sweet but you flew round the course like it was a lap of the oval! 8) 😛

Flex testing of skis and pole measuring…….needs to be done asap. Please see October overview for specifics.

    Monday 17th 5 – 6:30pm: @ venue Civic Centre
To flush out the legs and learn a little about recovery we will get together for a recovery run and foam roller workshop. Entrance is from the park at the east end of the building (opposite end from the summer market). Parents welcome and please bring your own foam roller if you have one.

    Saturday 22nd 10am – 1pm: @ Bow River Camp Ground
It’s time to really start getting excited about the upcoming ski season with a skate sprint simulation 😛 This will be a super workout with our friends from Foothills. Each skier will get to do a timed prologue lap, individual start, then have a couple of goes at racing other people around the same speed. Coach Alaric will be the lead Assisted by Morgan (former CNSC athlete). You will need all your rollerski equipment (HELMET, poles, skis, boots) if you don’t own your own then please email me by Thursday 20th and indicate which binding system you need e.g. Salomon/NNN, and I’ll make sure some extra sets of skis go to the camp ground for you. Don’t forget your drink belts and some snacks, and layer up so you can put on a jacket to keep warm between heats.

Here’s a basic overview of the workout:
Full sprint race simulation: qualifier + 3 heats
    750M loop, counter clockwise
10am- Meet at the Bow River Campground Gate
10:50 Qualifier Start- 15 sec interval start
    Heats start at 11:30
12:45 Quick results- Bracket 1 and Bracket 2 and Bracket 3

Please note that the deadline to sign up for the Bow Valley Camp is October 25th!
