Stuart HardenKeymasterHi team,
Thank you to everone who has volunteered their time to this past week’s club fundraisers: Strides and Glides and the ski swap! Our great community depends on events such as these and all the people who make them happen.
U16/18 classic and skate skis can be dropped off at training any day this week to be flex tested. This is important to set accurate kick zones and to get a handle on whether your skis are still serving you well or if you’ve outgrown them. Skis must be thoroughly scraped, cleaned (would you brush it against your cheek?), and marked with your name and weight in kilograms.
Good luck to team members taking part in this week’s Youth Olympic Games Trials! Races are on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings and Frozen Thunder will be closed for regular training during competition times.
As with every year, please indicate which races you plan to attend on the race sign up document. Note the deadlines to sign up. The first Calforex is less than a month away! More details on the events and basic logistics will be shared on this document as race invitations are published and bookings are confirmed.
Your final dryfire minutes team tally is on the spreadsheet. Good effort, especially to those that made the 160min goal this month. Unless there were any last gasp heroics, better luck next year!
A reminder that next Monday November 6th is when headlamps become mandatory for evening training. This is for your safety and the safety of those around you, so you won’t be able to train with the team without one.
