    Hello,

Nipika Camp is October 12-14. Rachel send out the trip document last week. If you have any questions, please ask.

On October 21 we will all be racing in the annual Confederation Relay down in Calgary. More info about the event here: https://www.gumbot.ca/ This will be the training session for the weekend. It would be great for everyone to partake in the event.
Please sign up here by Wednesday OCT 3rd, and we will make Canmore Nordic Teams: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18hQk618b66Pr94r4cRY0qcjY_gpxjucb9x9GIZkW_3c/edit?usp=sharing

    Training this week:
Monday(1) 6:30-7:45 LC+ Strength in the gym. Inside the whole time.

Tuesday(2) 4:30-6:00 LC/LC+ Threshold Test. Meet at the LGMS track. We only do this test twice a year. It is a key tool to calculating your training zones and analyzing training adaptations. Eat accordingly so that you are ready to run hard, usually finishing your afternoon snack by 3:00PM. Be sure your HRM is working well.

**Course inspected at 1pm and THE TEST IS ON! You all ski race in snow storms, so not much different. Don’t forget your glasses.**

Wednesday(3) 4:30-6:15 LC+ With all this new snow we just have go get out and enjoy it. Meet at the teamroom with your rock skis (ideally classic, but whatever you can round up) and get ready for a little adventure.

Thursday(4) 4:30-6:15 Unrolling of the new strength plan with Suzy. We will start outside for 10 min of warm up/agility, then hit the gym.

No team training Saturday(6) or Monday(8) due to the holiday. Happy thanksgiving, eat lots and be thankful.

“Sleep deprivation can lead to more injuries and a reduction of muscle glycogen stores. It can also inhibit recovery of damaged muscles after training bouts; alter glucose metabolism; impair cognitive tasks and psychomotor functions; and lower immunity to illness. Sleep, in other words, is vital to recovering from training, and to performing well on race day.” – Adam Hodges, Ph.D. USA Triathlon
