Great job at the Confederation Park Relays. I heard a lot of comments about how fast Canmore athletes are.
An easy week of training this week. This also means that it’s important to get at least 9 hours of sleep per night. Stretch too.
Monday (27): Rest day for all except Russell and Annika that are doing the FT distance race.
Tuesday (28): A shorter workout tonight and laid back format. Meet at Elizabeth Rummell at 4:45pm with your running gear and water bottle. We will be done at 6:00pm
Wednesday (29): AST and NTS athletes have a day off. Others to come and do some distance and intensity. Meet at team room 4:30-6:00 for some classic skiing on FT. Wax recommendation: Rode universal klister (it’s called Mulitgrade), Swix universal can probably work too. Please no kick wax when it’s transformed snow like this.
Thursday (30): Z1 run + strength in gym. 5:00-6:30pm. Come with a costume for the run! Prize for the best costume.
Saturday (1): We will meet at 9:30am the base of Sulphur Mt (ticket office). We will run and ski walk the backside of Sulphur (bring ski walking poles, water and a bar). We will take the gondola down – it’s a free ride down. We should be done at about 11:30am, but this is approximate. Bring a change of clothes and food for after. The hot springs are reopening on Saturday so it’s possible to go for a soak after. $6.40 for youth (17 and less) and $7.30 for adults. Your call on the hot springs, talk it amongst yourselves.
