    Hello Team,

Awesome to see so many out having a fun rip for Strides and Glides.  We will be settling into some more intensity and time trials this time of year to get those fast moving ski legs under you.  Some fun events coming up:

Help us coaches plan the Saturday time trial by signing up here (~10km for U18, ~5km for U16). Deadline to sign up Wednesday night:

October 29, 6:30-7:30  Zizu Optics is offering a club discount night (35% off and a free lens valued at $160!) at the BWTC. See the club news letter and Instagram post for more details and the glasses give away!

October 30, 6:30-7:30 we will have a presentation to the 2008 and older athletes by the Montana State University coaches about racing in the NCAA and some of your options for ski racing after high school.

We are getting into some more time trials this time of year to dial in your race day routine/ try out different things.   Just to help with your planning:
Wednesday Nov 13 & Thursday, Nov 14– Nordiq Canada Time Trials on Frozen Thunder in the morning. We will still offer training in the evening, but this is a fun time trial opportunity.  Registration details to come closer to the event.

Ski flex testing before the ski swap on November 3rd.  If you have grown more than 4KG, bring your skis in.  If you are the same as last year, your skis will fit the same as last year. Drop skis at the teamroom with your name and weight in KG taped to the ski. They must be scraped, brushed, and cleaned with WAX REMOVER of any kick wax/klister.

Race license info will be emailed out Monday. FIS license prices increase on Nov 1.  2008 and older who plan to race in Bozeman will need a FIS license.

Lastly- Classic Waxing for Frozen Thunder: It is old, transformed, icy track. So you will always need klister to ski on frozen thunder until there becomes a layer of snow over top of it.  The klister binder or hard blue klister is what you need to make the 2nd layer of universal klister not rip off.  Depending on the moisture of the track will determine how much red klister needs to be mixed in.  It is a little challenging, but good to learn how to apply and how to ski on klister. Embrace the sticky.
