    Hello LCs,

Great work out at Nipika. You got in lots of great training and made it an amazing weekend. You should be tired from the load of training last week, so be sure to rest up and let yourself recover.

Ski season will be here before you know it, so it is that time of year again to dust off your skis, boots, and poles to see how much you have grown. Talk to your coach and we will line up a time to get skis on the flex tester. For poles, the equation is your height -14cm for skating and -24 for classic. If your poles are too short you can not ski with proper technique and apply all this great power that you are developing in your training. If you have grown, you can cut your skate poles to become your classic to only have to buy 1 new pair.

We will have our usual inter-club swap October 19-22. If you have gear to sell or buy, this is a great opportunity to keep all our great quality skis within our club. More details to come.

The annual club ski swap is October 24-25. Details on our main page.

If you need a new race suit, the club order night is October 8 from 6:30-7:30 at the BWTC. Details on the main page.

    Training this week:

Tuesday(6): No team training. Race hard at XC Running Zones. We coaches will be there to cheer you on and see you go for it.

Wednesday(7): 4:30-6:30 Skate Roller Ski with speed work. Meet at the teamroom. September iLog challenge drawing tonight! 2 names will be pulled from the hat to win a pair of Blitz Glasses. Fill out every day of your iLog for September and your name will be in the running.

Thursday(8): 4:30-6:30 Classic Roller Ski and everyone on the new strength program. Meet at the teamroom.

Saturday(10): No team training. Happy thanksgiving.

“A man should have wings to carry him where his dreams go, but sometimes a pair of skis makes a good substitute” – Hans Gmoser, 1961
