Great job today team of athletes, coaches, wax techs, race organizers…. A very good day for Canmore Nordic.
Our venue gave us some unusual conditions. Temperature around zero with a glazing track. Second race this year that we encounter those conditions. If you found it tough to climb the hills in striding, then make sure you talk to your coach about this. It’s most likely a technical issue – being right on top of the ski before applying downward pressure.
Tomorrow are skate sprints. You have done lots of training on starts, finishes, best line, and accelerations. Master the course on Saturday – go for it, don’t hold back.
Skis:
I hope that you left your skis in the team room tonight and base glided with Matt’s recommendation. If you didn’t, please bring your skis to the team room by 7:15am.
