    Hello TTs,

Great start to the fall season last week!  You are a great bunch of young athletes and we are looking forward to making some solid gains this year.  Well done coming to the sessions prepared with appropriate clothing, equipment, and water (snack for long days).  It is those small things that add up to help you get the most out of your training.  Keep up the good work.

Everyone has done well, but just to be sure we are on the same page, please do not attend training if you are feeling unwell (runny nose, sore throat, cough, nausea, etc).  It will make your recovery take longer, you may get your teammates sick, and it is simply not allowed these days with COVID.

On Tuesday, September 21 from 6:30-7:15 I will run an information/ Q&A session in the Bill Warren Training Centre Haig Room.  The windows will be open for extra ventilation and please wear your mask. This meeting is an opportunity to learn more about the TT program, how it fits into the progression of the club, and discuss the upcoming year.  If an athlete needs to stay due to transportation, they are welcome to sit in, but the target audience is parents.

    Training this week:

    Monday(13) Skate Rollerski @ CNC

5:00-6:30 Meet at the teamroom with your drinkbelt, Helmet (bike helmets are great), Gloves, Skate Poles, Skate Boots, Skate Rollerskis (if you own them).  For the T1s who have rented rollerskis, they will be provided by me at the start of the session and collected at the end.  We will cover rollerskiing safety, basics, technique, and some agility work.

    Tuesday(14) Run @ CNC

5:00-6:30 Meet at the teamroom with your drinkbelt.  Tonight we will be getting out running sprints on. Come ready to move those limbs fast.

Friday(16) – Sunday(19) — 5 Training Sessions offered in Beaver Mines.  Check the document emailed by Matt on August 31.  If you are camping in Beaver Mines this weekend, please update the spreadsheet with your campsite.  Link here. Remember, there is no service down there, so you need to print off the schedule to know when and where to meet for the sessions.

Monday(20) There will be no team training, rest up from a great weekend.

“Real strength is shown not in the fleeting episodes of a singular grandiose effort, but rather, in the countless, unseen and seemingly small efforts that occur over days, months and years when the individual decides and then does what they set out to do” –Rick Kapala
