Great first two weeks of training team. Thanks to all the parents, siblings and pets who joined us for the Rockbound Lake hike, it was great to have so many people enjoying the outdoors together.

    Monday 25th 5-6:30pm: @ Quarry Lake.
Continuing with our ski striding technique development we will work on varying tempo in striding and bounding with some strength mixed in. You’ll need ski striding poles and a drink belt.

    Wednesday 27th 5 – 6:30pm @ CNC
Skate rollerskiing working on agility and one skate technique with special guest Thomas Manktelow (AWCA & CNSC member). Helmets are mandatory for these sessions.

Parent Meeting 6:30 – 7:30pm Haig Room, Bill Warren Training Centre
At this meeting we will cover the race calendar, equipment, attendance, program coordinator role, Alberta Winter Games and answer any other questions parents have. It would be great to see as many of you there as possible. If you cannot make the meeting please make the time to catch up with Matt or Allison to make sure you get all the right information.

    Saturday 30th 12:00 – 2:30pm Meet @ Travel Alberta
Today we will take on the Legacy Trail to Cascade Ponds with the addition of the Minnewanka Loop for the speedy ones. It’s preferred that athletes ride a road bike for this session but a hybrid/cyclocross bike will also be ok. Check the weather and make sure you’re dressed appropriately have a full water bottle and a snack. It would be great to have at least Parent helpers would be great today. We will try to break into groups to make for safer riding so it would be great to have 4 parent helpers for the bike ride today. If you are keen to join us please email Matt and Allison to let them know.
