    Hello TTs,

Thank you parents for attending the information session last week.  Hopefully now the pathway and expectations of the year are nice and clear.  The deadline to sign up for the Lake Louise Camp is October 1.  You can read the cancellation policy at the top of the sign up spreadsheet.  Please indicate a yes or a no, don’t just leave it blank. Click here for the link.

    Training this week:

    Monday(27) Skate Rollerski @ CNC

5:00-6:30 Bring all your skate rollerski equipment (helmet, gloves, boots, poles, rollerskis for those not renting) and a drink belt.  We will be getting into our offset technique tonight, agility, and even a little game to wrap up the evening.

Bring your running shoes tonight (they can be left in the teamroom).  If it starts to rain quite hard in the session, we will switch over to running.

Tuesday(28) Fox Hunt Game and Strength @ CNC

5:00-6:30 Come ready to run wild in the woods of the nordic centre for a fox hunt.  We will start with some strength exercises then head out.

    WEDNESDAY (29) Biathlon @ CNC * One-Time Change in Date *

    4:45-6:15 Biathlon training.

Saturday(2) STUR (Silver Tip Uphill Run) @ Holiday Inn

12:30-2:00 We will meet at the South East end of the Holiday Inn Parking lot for a group warm up for the STUR.  T1s- as this is your first STUR some more details: It is a 1km uphill run with 100M of climbing. We have a standard start and finish line to have the paved trail be as consistent as possible.  It is an interval start of 15 seconds so you can focus on your effort racing against the clock, then try to improve your time the next time we do it. Map below.  I will email out the times later in the afternoon. The LCs will be running the course right after the TTs, so get ready to cheer on your older teammates on your cool down jog back to the parking lot.

“One thing about racing is that it hurts.” Bob Kennedy, Former 5,000M American record holder
