    Hello club members –

CNSC owns a hot box. This is used to treat and prepare skis to get them ready to ski on. New skis need to get lots of wax in them to make them fast. The CNSC hot box uses gentle radiant heat to warm skis for maximum base saturation. A single treatment is comparable to about 20-30 ironings!

    CAPACITY: 20 pairs per load

    * Sign up on the doodle below to reserve a spot
    * Enter your name multiple times if you have many pairs
    * Show up 10-15min early and crayon the club’s hot box wax onto your ski base. Do not drip from the iron as it wastes a lot of wax. Do a quick pass with the iron to make sure the wax is melted evenly. Leave the kick wax zone clean for classic skis.
    * Please unplug iron when you are done.
    * Make sure your name is on your skis and keep your ski straps. Keep skis together and leave in the marked ski rack at the back of the team room. Insert your $20/pair in binding (cash or cheque). Please pay at drop off.
    * Pick up your skis at the end of an official group session (usually Tue-Wed-Thu-Sat) -> Check forum
    * Later, at home, scrape the remaining hot box wax and put on 1-2 layers of green glide wax. Ideally Swix LF4
