Hello Team, I hope you are ready to ski fast on Friday   . The temperatures are warming up for the next few days, but the snow will remain cold for another 48 hours. forecast here: http://www.yr.no/place/Canada/Alberta/Canmore/hour_by_hour_detailed.html

    Waxing:
Glide wax your skis with the suggested wax from my email yesterday. Bring your skis to the team room by 8:30am please. ALSO BRING YOUR SATURDAY SKATE SKIS SO YOU CAN GLIDE WAX THEM WITH CLUB WAX AFTER YOUR RACE.

Start times: The first starter is at 11:00am. Check http://www.zone4.ca for your exact start time. Please arrive the team room 1.25-1.50hrs before your start. Note that the interval start for open categories is 30sec and all other categories is 15sec.

    Courses:
    Midget Boy, 2.5km, 1 x 2.5k A, Orange
    Midget Girl, 2.5km, 1 x 2.5k A, Orange
    Juvenile Boy, 5km, 2 x 2.5k A, Orange
    Juvenile Girl, 5km, 2 x 2.5 A, Orange
    Junior Boy, 7.5km, 3 x 2.5k A, Orange
    Junior Girl, 5km, 2 x 2.5k A, Orange
    Open/Junior Men, 10km, 3 X 3.3k B, Green
    Open/junior Women, 5km, 2 x 2.5k B, Yellow

The course will close at 10:50am, but will reopen for about 20 minutes after the open men are done. Check with a coach before venturing on the course.

Never ski backwards on a race course.

We will have your bib in the wax room. You will also have to wear transponders and a leg bib (on the outside of your left leg, just under the knee).

    Awards:
The open categories awards will be right after the men are done (around 12:45-1:00pm). The awards for the other categories will be after the last finisher (around 2:25pm). Awards ceremony are on the west side of the day lodge. Come and cheer for your teammates.

    Cool down:
I ask that all LC/PC bring shoes and cool down on the stationary bikes in the bwtc for 20min. Nice easy spin. Another option is running around the CNC but be careful on the slippery roads.

    Food:
Bring recovery drink and food to eat right after your race. This is important as it will make you recover much quicker. Of course, drink water too.

“Victory isn’t defined by wins or losses. It is defined by effort. If you can truthfully say, ‘I did the best I could, I gave everything I had,’ then you’re a winner.”
