We will get together for some sessions over the next couple weeks, both combo and just physical. If your around please come out, its always easier and more fun to train as a group. If your out of town, then make sure you get your training in elsewhere.
The training block over the holidays is important for your fitness and performance for January racing and also throughout the rest of winter. Otherwise, relax and enjoy your time off from school! 🙂
I did not put much core/strength on your training plans. For that, go ahead and do 15-20min of core/body weight (pull-ups, push-ups, dips, sit-ups etc) a 1-3 times a week.
Week 1:
Tuesday (27): Intensity combo: 11:15am-1pm
Wednesday (28): Z1 distance skate ski: 9:30-noon @ Nordic Centre
Thursday (29): Z1 distance classic: 9:30-noon. This session will take place at the Cascade Fire Rd. Please meet at Lake Minnewanka parking lot, we will start skiing at 9:30am. It would be great to have some parents helpers come ski.
Friday (30): Biathlon TT: 11:00am-1pm
Week 2:
Monday (2): Z1 classic ski: 9:30-11:30am @ Nordic Centre
Tuesday (3): Intensity combo: 11:15am-1pm
Thursday (5): Speed combo: 11:15am-1pm
Friday (6): 9-11:00am. Race prep combo, wax skis and race plans!
Saturday/Sunday: Calforex Cup #2! We will do official training on the Friday morning
